“Improving Student Writing”

How to raise student achievement through

better writing skills

Venue: British School Jakarta in Indonesia

Following the success of the above course in the past years in Thailand, India, Belgium and Panama, the International Writing Project will this year offer the course in Jakarta, Indonesia. We are delighted to be hosted by the British School Jakarta.

This course is designed to meet the needs of teachers who want to ensure that they are providing the kind of feedback that will help students become better writers. The course will provide tailored instruction for teachers who want to incorporate new writing strategies. Based on the philosophy that we learn by doing, teachers will craft their own writing pieces, respond to each other’s work, and reflect upon the entire process from prewriting to publication. The instructors will provide tips on ensuring that students still acquiring English can successfully participate in the writing process.

Pedicabs in Indonesia can be found in two kinds, first the man-powered pedicab or locally called Becak or a motorised pedicab also known as Becak Motor.
